In order to enanle installing a console on a mchaine, you must make sure that the user logged on to this machine is either a "domain admin", or that he is specifically granted a "Write" and "Modify" rights on the LT_CMD$ share.

Manually - Setting up a console on a machine
Create the folder "c:\LanTlct" on your local hard drive (this folder may already exist if you have a PrefixNE agent installed).

Copy the file "RamsS.exe" from your repository (resides in \\YourRepositoryServer\LT_CMD$ folder) to the above mentioned folder.

Copy the file "License.dat" from your repository (also resides in \\YourRepositoryServer\LT_CMD$ folder) to the above mentioned folder.

Create a shortcut to the file you copied (RamsS.exe) on your desktop. The easiest way to create the shortcut is to drag the file onto your desktop using the right mouse button, drop the file on the desktop and on the menu that pops up - select "Create shortcuts Here".

Double click on the shortcut, the console will open, you will probably need to define the repository name and an account to use for log-in to the repository server).
