In the inventory list some software which I know is installed is not appearing. Why is this happening?
PrefixNE retrieves registry records of installed software. Some programs are installed in bizarre ways (not using the Microsoft conventions), for example by creating a directory and copying files, but not listing them in the system’s registry. These records will be absent from PrefixNE’s inventory. In such cases it is possible that the installed software will appear in the Start Menu listing.
