What is a "Reverse Backup" capability
The Snapshot capability can be used to force a user to keep certain files intact on his local machine without taking care of it himself. Frequently, users delete files by accident, or modify important configuration files, so that their applications stop functioning. you may configure PrefixNE to monitor specific directories or files, and copy them back to the client (from a predefined copy on the server) when they change. this is useful for Anti-Virus programs (virus definitions), office programs, etc. To use this feature: At the PrefixNE console, use the "Policy" -> "Backup", yet set the source path to the server location, and the destination path to the client's machine. Remember to click the "Apply" button in the end. all that applies to the Backup system, applies here as well. (see "what is backup" item for more information).
