Frequently, users delete files by accident, or modify important configuration files, so that their applications stop functioning. You may now configure PrefixNE to monitor specific directories or files, and copy them back to the client's disk (from a predefined preserved copy on the server) when/if they change. This is useful for example with an Anti-Virus programs (virus definitions), office programs, multi-user computers and so on... The Snapshot capability can be used to force users to keep certain files intact on their local machine with no user intervention. |
